How We Came About
In 1906, a handful of investors with a vision hired 18 workers and formed what is today the Kewaunee Scientific Corporation. Their goal was ambitious: build a superior line of laboratory and technical furniture and accessories.
Today at Kewaunee, our modular workstations and benches reflect this 100-plus year history of dedication to making the finest technical furniture in the world.
Headquartered in Statesville, North Carolina, the Kewaunee Technical Furniture Group (TFG), a division of Kewaunee Scientific Corporation, specializes in intelligent, highly flexible furniture solutions. We offer a broad choice of products, including pedestal-based and column-based modular systems, slotted-post systems, as well as a broad selection of stand-alone benches.

It all comes together within our 400,000 square foot manufacturing operation in Statesville, NC, where a unique blend of craftsmanship and advanced technology goes into the world’s finest workstation furniture/ workstation tables. We’ve invested millions in leading-edge automated metalworking and woodworking machinery, resulting in advanced manufacturing capability offering flexibility in product design. Whether it’s as simple as non-standard workstation dimensions or as complex as specialized laboratory requirements, Kewaunee can meet your needs.
In addition, Kewaunee Scientific Corporation is a member of the Scientific Equipment Furniture Association (SEFA) and manufactures its furniture according the association's standards. Our systems’ power and task lighting options are UL-Listed, and we’re a proud member of United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
